Color Matching with the Wayne Dalton TruChoice™ Color System
Your garage door is most likely the largest entry into your home and holds a large amount of visual real estate. For this reason, it is important that your garage door color match the rest of your home. Wayne Dalton’s TruChoice™ Color System lets you do just that. With upwards of 6,000 colors to choose from, TruChoice™ matches a wide variety of colors, including brand name paint manufacturers, RAL Classic colors, or paint samples. TruChoice™ can match your door color with paint colors from well-known paint manufacturers such as, Ace, Benjamin Moore, Behr, Olympic, Sherwin Williams, True Value, and Valspar.
How does it work?
TruChoice™ goes through several steps in a paint process to mix your custom color and then bake it onto your new garage door to give you an excellent finish. First, TruChoice™ uses the paint number from the paint manufacturer or relies on a spectrophotometer reading of a paint sample to mix the correct color. In the unusual event that TruChoice™ is unable to match the paint sample, NationServe will let you know within five business days after the manufacturer has received the paint sample. After the color has been mixed, the paint is sprayed onto the garage door and baked in an oven to seal the paint to the door. This process provides you with a beautiful factory-finished door in the color you desire.
